The Goat and the Pig By: Leslie B. Calibay                        It was sunny morning in a month of June. The wind blows so cool that could blow even one’s problem. The trees were dancing and the birds sang the sweetest melody. And all other animals in the Kingdom were busy coping what interest them on that day, except to the goat and pig that were busy talking with each other. It was really a best day to enjoy with.                     “Mehhh, meeehh, meehh,” the sound of the goat. “Oink, oink, oink,” the sound of the pig. The goat and the pig happened to be friends at first. “I am so excited to go to school tomorrow.“said Elsa the goat. “But I feel nervous.” replied Nori the pig. “Why? You should be excited since we will meet new friends and new teachers.” She said to her friend.                      On the next day, they went together to school. “Are you still nervous, Nori?” “Not at all.” “Okay, that’s good”. They talked together until they came to school.

MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY By: Leslie B. Calibay        I do believe that each of us has a different story and it is waiting to be told. Some maybe already been shared and been heard but some remain unspoken maybe because we don ’ t want to open up the lion ’ s cave yet.            But in some point, it is better to speak not just to say out of nothing but to say something which can be a guidance to others and to know more about ourselves. I used to play with my father, mother, and siblings. We used to play marbles under to my grandma ’ s house. I remember when my father came home earlier than the usual time he came home from his work. He saw us playing marbles. His eyes widen and looked directly to us. “ Hurry   up. I ’ ll chop the wood and you will fetch some water. ” my br

The Magnet By: Leslie B. Calibay               One of the streets in Juna Subdivision is the Carlos Avenue Street. It is a side road of Philippine Women’s College of Davao. Though, the street isn’t that glamour since it is just a plain soil and if you will pass here during rainy day, you wouldn’t dare to walk because of its appearance.                It was 5:00 o’clock in the evening.   The street was almost covered with darkness. You only recognize it was a street because of few vehicles kept on passing by and a few lamp posts along the way. Few people walked in the street since the time entailed for going home especially those who are from whole day worked.                “Vel, before you go, eat first. Your food is already prepared.” It was the words that cut my heart within. Since everytime I heard those words, specially the word “go”, some feeling innate in me arose that I couldn’t even explained what was it. Without words, everytime our eyes met something was
